How to cancel Mint Mobile

Start with the cancellation link above. The quickest sequence is 1) Decide whether to keep the phone number; 2) Record the plan expiration and renewal status; 3) Turn off Auto Renewal at least 24 hours early; 4) Transfer the number before service expires; 5) Use the remaining prepaid service; 6) Verify every charge and line. Stay in the flow until you see an end date or receive written confirmation.

Gather the account holder’s name, account number, billing email or service address, and the date you want service to end. Then check your statement for the name of the company collecting payment. Do not cancel before transferring a phone number you want to keep. Auto Renewal changes must be made at least 24 hours before renewal.

Turn off Auto Renewal at least 24 hours before the scheduled renewal. Transfer a wanted number before the service plan expires or the account is cancelled. With Auto Renewal off, the prepaid wireless plan remains active until its stated expiration. It cannot be paused after activation. Mint says refunds are processed within 10 business days after approval. Later cancellations generally do not refund prepaid service, Wallet funds, unused data, or roaming value. Ask support to list the final charge and any refund separately in writing. Returns or final tasks: No SIM return is required for an eligible new-service cancellation. A separately purchased phone or accessory follows Mint’s return rules and deadlines.

Keep plan expiration and renewal date, auto renewal-off screenshot, mint family line list, number-transfer confirmation, refund request and approval when eligible, transaction history and final statement. Save copies outside the company’s app or account in case access disappears. Your proof should show the request date, effective date, affected service, and confirmation or reference number.

Compare the new charge with the effective date on your confirmation. Then contact Mint Mobile with a short timeline showing the request, confirmation, promised end date, and charge. Ask for a written correction and any refund due. If that goes nowhere, send the same records to your payment provider and ask how long you have to dispute the charge.
