Eligible claims concern challenged enrollment flows or unsuccessful cancellation attempts through June 23, 2025. Use only the official settlement channel and never pay anyone to obtain a refund.
Spectrum’s terms require equipment return after service ends, but returning equipment is not itself proof that the service account was disconnected. Recent reports describe continued billing when only equipment was returned and inventory disputes after a return. Explicitly request service disconnection, record the effective date and confirmation number, then return each listed device separately. Photograph serial numbers and retain the itemized UPS or store receipt until the final account balance is zero.
SiriusXM now lists online account, chat and phone routes for direct-billed subscriptions, while Apple, Google, Roku, T-Mobile and other external services control their own subscriptions. Identify the biller and every active vehicle or streaming subscription, cancel each one separately and save its confirmation and effective date.
The Times’ current help pages direct subscribers to account management or Customer Care, while free-trial cancellation can take effect immediately and subscriptions purchased through another platform follow that provider’s controls. Check whether the subscription combines News, Cooking, Games, Wirecutter or The Athletic, identify the biller and confirm the end date for every product rather than assuming one cancellation ends the full bundle.
Planet Fitness currently lists three possible routes: the online member portal, a mailed written notice or an in-person request at the home club. The available route and the deadline before monthly or annual billing can vary by location and agreement. Recent members also report inconsistent online controls and freeze offers. Open the member portal first, then ask the home club for the exact received-by deadline, any minimum-term balance and written confirmation. If mailing, use tracked mail and allow delivery time.
Headspace says direct subscriptions cancel in a browser, while Apple and Google Play purchases must be managed in those stores. Direct and app-store purchases generally have different refund authorities, and organization-provided access may simply expire. Find the receipt and subscription details first, cancel with the actual biller, then request any refund separately. Save the renewal status and check whether an older account or different email still holds another plan.
Spotify says a Family or Duo member can leave the plan but cannot cancel the paid subscription; only the plan manager can do that. If no cancellation option appears, a mobile, internet or other partner may control billing. Check Manage your plan and Payment first. Confirm whether you are the manager, follow the named partner link when shown and verify that Premium changes to Free on the next billing date.
DIRECTV directs customers to a cancellation support agent, who may discuss pausing or a better deal before processing the request. Ask the agent for the exact end date, itemized early-cancellation amount and complete return list. Save the cancellation reference, the carrier receipt and tracking for every receiver or accessory.
LinkedIn says direct, Apple and Google Play purchases follow different controls, and an iOS mobile-web purchase can still require LinkedIn’s desktop route. It recommends cancelling at least one day before billing. Open Premium features and Purchases, identify the merchant and plan, use the matching route and confirm the status at least a full day before renewal. If Apple shows no subscription, compare the receipt’s Apple ID and billing descriptor before escalating.
Crunchyroll says the cancel control appears only in the system that originally billed the membership. Direct plans use Membership Info and require selecting No thanks, Finish Cancellation; Apple, Google, Amazon, PlayStation, Roku and YouTube plans use those platforms instead. Check Membership Info or the receipt first, finish every prompt and verify an expiration date. Deleting the app or removing a card does not cancel billing.
STARZ sells subscriptions directly and through Apple, Google, cable providers and other distributors. The entity shown on the receipt controls cancellation and billing, and the subscription otherwise renews for another period at the then-current rate. Identify the distributor before starting, cancel in that account and save the end date. Check separately for STARZ inside a TV package or another streaming bundle.
IPSY says cancellation must be completed by 11:59 PM Pacific on the 25th to affect the upcoming month. Original and Extra subscriptions must be cancelled separately, while Ultimate eligibility depends on an active base membership. List every active tier, cancel each one before the cutoff and require the final on-screen confirmation. Recheck the account page because cancelling one membership does not prove the others ended.
Everand says cancelling the paid subscription does not close the associated Scribd or SlideShare accounts. Website, Apple and Google Play subscriptions also use different cancellation and refund routes. Find the biller first, cancel in that system and retain the confirmation. If seeking a refund, request it separately within the published window and avoid further content use because eligibility can depend on whether the billing period was used.

If the two services disagree, give support the promotion or add-on name and the charge shown on the statement.
Disney+ says subscriptions purchased through a billing partner must be managed with that partner. Recent reports also describe confusion when overlapping Disney+, Hulu and partner-provided plans changed or appeared separately. Before cancelling, identify every subscription shown in Disney+ and by the partner, record each renewal price and cancel only the plan you intend to end.
Hulu’s current help routes distinguish cancellation from pausing and direct billing from partner-managed plans. Recent reports describe failed web attempts, continued charges and confusion involving Verizon bundles or separately billed add-ons. In Account, record the base plan, every add-on and the party shown as billing each item. Cancel each recurring item through its biller, decline pause if the goal is to leave, and save the access-end date and confirmation. If another charge appears, compare its exact amount and statement descriptor with the cancelled items before contacting support.
AMC+ directs direct subscribers to its own account controls but sends Apple, Roku, Amazon, Xfinity and other partner customers back to the provider. Save the final confirmation and access-end date.
The FTC distributed refunds in May 2025 to eligible consumers who tried to cancel before May 2022 but were charged afterward. This describes historical conduct and a completed regulatory remedy, not proof of the current flow. Current clients should use Cerebral’s logged-in Support or care-team messaging, save the cancellation request and effective date, and compare the next statement. Use only the official FTC refund administrator for questions about a payment.

A term commitment can create a prorated early termination fee, and required leased equipment must generally be returned within 21 days as a separate step. Ask for the disconnect date and any early termination amount, then take each listed device and its power supply to an eligible UPS Store or FedEx Office. Keep the itemized tracking receipt because returning equipment does not by itself confirm that service was disconnected.

Confirm the membership type before starting, decline any stay option if the decision is final and ask for the effective date, remaining payments and cancellation confirmation in writing. Do not assume that a freeze or retained access means the membership is cancelled.

Ask whether roadside-service use or monthly billing changes any prorated refund.

Save voicemail first, then ask for the effective date, device balance, lost credits and final-cycle amount in writing.
Solidcore requires cancellation through its membership messenger and says the request must arrive 30 days before the next renewal. Recent subscribers describe online cancellation controls appearing inconsistently and receiving reduced-price retention offers while trying to leave. Treat these as account-specific reports, not a universal flow. Start in the Globe account help area, record the current four-week renewal price, decline every offer if the decision is final and save the written cancellation and access-end date. If no control appears, use the official customer-service route before the next charge.
Recent reports describe service or billing continuing after a cancellation request, including cases where equipment had already been returned. Save the disconnection confirmation, equipment receipt and tracking number as separate records, then compare the final bill with the requested effective date.
Recent reports describe return requests for equipment a customer says was never installed, expired QR codes, uncertainty over which devices stay with the home and charges after a technician took old hardware. Recent users describe missing cancellation controls or being sent to Apple, Amazon or Roku because the original billing platform controls the subscription. Find the original receipt first, use that provider’s subscription settings and save the final end date and confirmation email. These are community reports, not a finding that every account follows the same path.
Recent reports describe charges after users believed cancellation was complete. One 2026 report says later viewing was treated as reactivation while paid access remained available.
